The Beauty of the Cross

The crosses you see here are decorative. Some are delicate; some unique; some simple. All are very unlike the cross on which Christ hung.

That cross was rough, crudely made, a brutal instrument of torture to punish criminals.

But that ugly cross was made beautiful by the love Christ has for us, the love he showed by his willingness to hang on that cross for our salvation.

Marvel at the beauty, but don't overlook the cost.

“Father, forgive them for they don't know what they are doing.”
