S.A.L.T. Ministries new food pantry ....Our original food pantry was housed in about a 500 square foot room. As we grew from 50 recipients to over 120, we discovered that we needed more room to store the food and work room to fill the boxes. In 2019 we added 900 square feet to the pantry. Our pantry was built entirely by our regular SALT volunteers and volunteers from the community.
Canned and dried foods provide staples throughout the year.
In the original part of the pantry, five chest freezers and a large commercial refrigerator allow us to provide more fresh produce, dairy products, and frozen goods.
The walls of the addition are lined with shelves, and more shelves in the center of the room hold more food.
